About Me

My Story
I've always been interested in plants. From a young age my father taught me the names of the wild flowers and my grandma showed me how to garden so when I moved to Canada after my marriage and got my own garden, I had to learn all the plant names in English. Realizing that the botanical name of plants is universal, it made sense to learn the Latin names as well.
As an avid life-long learner my garden has been my inspiration and teacher. After more than thirty years of gardening in Canada and a lot of interest from people asking me how I did it, I decided to share my knowledge with everyone who's interested in learning how to garden.

My promise
I believe that everyone can have a beautiful outdoor space they can enjoy. Tending to a garden lets you unwind and maybe feel a little closer to nature.
While your garden knowledge grows, so will your confidence and willingness to try new things. With care, and yes, sometimes hard work, you learn that a garden is very forgiving; there are no rights or wrongs and you can express yourself whichever way you like. It will show in the garden!
